OK I may hate Chevy but the LSX is one hell of a motor.

The old Ford Windsor motors are nice to, but way outdated.

Ecoboost is pure win, but there is more coming from Ford that will bump this.
98 Black MTX (no options), Powder UDP, MMI intake, Kamikaze header, IAT resistor, Fidanza Flywheel, ZXtuner Strut Bar, 19mm RSB, Progress springs, SR (Ford Racing) Struts. 240k miles.

Its pretty amazing when you think about it. Age is a huge problem with cars. The more miles actually the better based on it's run more often. Think about valve springs. They get weak as time goes on and can give you huge problems. Rings may not seat as well with age too. Electrolysis can happen in the block over time causing metal to fall apart(seen it on many engines). It just shows you on how great of a job they did with building it. No problem's or nothing really.

Again i didn't crap on your parade. I just said it was my favorite motor and going for 40 years strong.

i love the 426 hemi for alot of the things it has done, but, still prefer the 318. the only problem i have seen with 318s is that if you take it easy on them, they dont last, but, if you drive them like you stole them they run forever. this is on the later mfi models. another engine ford done awsomely was the ol 300 inline 6 too.....that motor could pull anything and would never brake down. they quite building that one cause it was so reliable they couldnt sell parts.....lol

    It's a tie:

GM's 2.4L Twin Cam - Cause it was in my first love (My Sunfire) and even though everybody says they have problems with the, I NEVER had a single issue with mine, for all 150k miles that was on her. She was a beast of a 4 cylinder and I just LOVE the 2.4's

Second is the 5.9L Cummins 12 Valve because they are just the perfect blank slate and are a powerhouse waiting to be unleashed. Okay, maybe just Diesels in general... Torque baby, nothing but torque.

Dodge Viper V10 for its size and tunablity. 8.4 L, which, to my knowledge, is the biggest engine in a current production car. Hennessey has it at 1200 HP street legal last time I heard.

    As powders mentioned, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4. 8L 16 cylinder, 4 turbo, 1001 Hp, 997 Ft/lb.

And last but not least, the 7.3L V12 Mecedes benz engine Found in Paganis. Why? Because of this sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6NIsizLGlQ
Black 2000 S/R. K&N air filter, Kami header, 2.5" TruBendz w/magnaflow muffler and cat, P&P Throttle Body, 130 Amp alternator, premium fuel. Sport Max 15" rims, 120 Db sound system.
