I had this saved guys, so just copied it. Sick!
How to install Cruise Control in Ford Escort ZX2 (AUTO) 3/20/06
(Not responsible for any damage-attempt at own risk)
You will need:
-Servo Box with Throttle Cable
-Steering Wheel with Cruise Controls
-Plastic Box with Plunger for Brake
Make sure you have this wire harness on passenger side
Picture of Servo Box with throttle cable
Install Servo Box and plug the wire harness from the first picture into the box. Route the
cable as seen in the picture.
Important! Unhook battery when working with airbags. Remove airbag from steering
wheel- there is 1 bolt on each side of airbag.
(Caption says: “cruise wire harness, this is where the plug from cruise control equipped wheel will plug into.”)
Unhook the wire harness’s and airbag.
Next, remove steering wheel. I ran into trouble doing this. A steering wheel puller
would not take it off, so I did the “pull left, pull right, then pull up and then down”.
Important to leave the bolt screwed in maybe 4-5 revolutions so you don’t pull it off into
your chest. Mine came off very simple using this method.
Now install cruise equipped steering wheel. Make sure you attach all the wire harness’s
and the cruise control wire harness.
Now locate the wire harness box with the plunger piece which will go above brake pedal. There is a plug up there that this will plug into.

You should be complete!! Hook up battery and take for test drive.
*For a manual, I believe you just need to add a second plastic plunger piece which will be
put above the clutch pedal- same way as brake pedal.
Special Thanks to Nate (nike13857) on TeamZX2 for helping me out with the
installation.
