thanks for the updates, guys...keep em coming. also, i think i'll link to the cheapest places i can find the springs...i went through every website today trying to find all this info, from manufacturers to retail. i might also put a poll at the top so we can see how popular each of the springs are.
update: i added a poll to say what springs you CURRENTLY run on your zx2. if you have one and are getting another soon...just wait til you get the new ones, or cast your vote for the ones you have...but each person gets to vote once. i already put down that i have Sprint springs, even though in the near future i might have Ground Controls.
i can get a set of suspensio tech springs for 50 bux how do these compare to my eibach's, i have a bodykit and i dont want to rip the from off. but it is urethane.

what do we do if there are different springs on all 3 zx2's ive got sprint, eibachs and another unknown brand on one..
Currently rolling on Ksports. I have tried:
Eibach
Intrax
G/C's (Eibach also)
98 ATX w/CTA,JBA,2.25 exhaust & highflow cat, Crower intake cam, essy udp, essy intake cam gear, SCT 4-way chip, CRAPPY Jayco tranny, Ksport coilovers, Rage 5.0 16" wheels, WW kit, custom Hyundai Accent wing, and full police siren/pa set-up
The Megan Racing springs are nowhere near the published rates. The wire size is too small and the pitch too shallow. There may be a racer version of the Megan Racing springs, but the street kit is less stiff than stock.
The rear springs shown are identical to the ST rear springs and the front springs appear to be the same as the front ST springs I have.
I don't have data in front of me, but I remember the front springs being lower than OEM, but with the same spring rate as stock. The rear springs are progressive, starting out about half as stiff as OEM, then increasing to stock spring rates.
Note that this simple comparison doesn't include the effect of stiffer shocks/struts which can mitigate the behavior of soft springs during transients.

People often ask how I measure spring rate. A test machine that measures force vs. deflection is the engineering way to do it.
However if you have a bunch of heavy barbell weights, a plate with a rod through it and a good ruler you can do it in the garage. Put the spring on the plate with the rod going through it. Shim the spring up with hardwood or metal. masure the height of the uncompressed spring.
Add weights in increments and measure the change in spring height. Do this for up to 250-300 lbs and more (450 lbs or more is preferred) if you can do so.
The total spring rate at any weight is the total weight/total deflection. If you plot this information as Weight vs. change in height the slope of the plot at any given weight is the effective spring rate at that loading point.

One thing people ignore is that if you lower a car you reduce suspension travel in the down 9compressive) direction. To hit the bump stops at the same point as stock, you need to increase spring rate at about the inverse proportion. Stiffer shocks will mitigate this.
So if you lower a car by 1' and reduce travel from 4" to 3" you need to increase spring rate by a factor of 4/3 = 1.333. If the stock springs range from about 125 lb/in to 160 lb/in, you might want springs that have a rate around 210 lb/in under compression.
The problem with lower springs that are soft is you will be bouncing off the bump stops regularly. Besides being annoying, the transient forces will screw up handling. The worst thing that could happen is hit a bump near the cornering limit, hit the bump stops and lose control of the car, such as bouncing into severe transient oversteer..
Reasonably lowered cars do look better than OEM, but choosing reasonably stiff springs to control suspension travel during actual over the road conditions is an overlooked part of the equation.

i had a sticky on the old site of a large amount of info that i had for the Springs and what not.. well n'e ways, hey am i the only cool person to run B&G?
Progress Spring rates according to their site:
Front Rear
240 lbs. 140 lbs.
I have them on my car and it just might be blown OEM struts but the don't feel too stiff. Good for daily driving and the car dose feel a lot more solid on the highway but during PCA events, they feel real soft.
'00 ZX2-Bolt on daily that i break all the time
