Actually I got a quote from them, and compared to E-surance....they were SOOO much cheaper.

On an 01 Lexus RS300 E-surance wanted $217 a month, and Geico only wanted $56 a month. That is one hell of a savings.

But yeah this is so, not in the right section.

Geico was $200 more for 6 months for me. Haven't looked around cuz I'm happy with what I have now.

i'v got alfa insurance and mine is only 50 a month it was that on my 95 trans am(v8 ) and my 91 mustang(v8 ) but on my zx2 it was 73 a month crazy huh..ben with em ever since i started driving and i'm 21 now so that also plays a roll..i'v got a 95 in a 65 and a 89 in a 45 on my record too so they do fairly well on the driving record thing and they do pay when something happens unlike some storys i'v heard

Got a quote from Geico a few years back and it was like $200 MORE than my Allstate policy.

Yeah my quote from Geico was atleast $200+ more then what I am paying through Esurance on my Z for full coverage. It comes out to about $80ish a month. Mine might be a bit cheaper because I'm 25, and have a clean driving record. Credit is rebuilding, so it might even be cheaper if I had really good credit. They where the cheapest I found out of the companies I looked at. Sadly I didn't look at AAA, because I just figured with all the extra services you get with them, they would be more expensive. But I may have to look into it.

Has anyone who owns a normal zx2 and an S/R found a difference in Insurance/Registration prices?

I don't know why this topic was brought back from the dead.. I can't imagine there is any difference with the S/R.

There is such a multitude of factors that determine your insurance rates, with location being a big one. Insurance rates are beyond comparing apples to oranges on an online forum with members all over the place.

What matters most is if the insurance company actually pays out. Who cares if you can save $100 a year by going with some rinky dink no name company if they don't pay out for an accident that is going to rape you far more than the $100 extra you'd pay for a company that will pay out.

I have geico. It was the best rate I could fine at the time after my 2nd accident. It's dropped from what it was then but I have a payment on the 22nd to renew for 6 months and they want $650.10... and I drive a damn Geo Tracker. I'm calling tomorrow to see if I can get lower rates through them since its been just over 2.5 yrs since my 1st accident and 2 years since my 2nd. If not, I'm going to call around and see what I can get offered.

$ 75.40 a month, full coverage with $100 deductable on collision. That is with a good driving record and taking the defensive driving course and I'm over 25.
This is on a bundled policy, ZX2, Jeep Liberty, house.
    Farmers Insurance Group.
SR is not a model, so it doesn't affect the rate. It's an Escort Coupe.

Ive complained before about my insurance with Progressive. I was paying $260 a month for one car. Im 20 with 4 points on my license driving a two door, so yea I could see how it would stack up against me. I talked to my gf's insurance buy and he got me a better rate with progressive paying $156.57 a month! The kicker; I have way more coverage than I had before with less on the monthly payments. Just thought I would share. I was soo happy that day.
