    Did you have the cage fabricated? I was wondering if a Mazda Protege/323 pre-fab cage would fit, since the chassis is the same.

    I'm hoping to run an Escort wagon with a zetec swap. My brother wrecked his ZX2, engine and trans may be salvageable, so I can have the whole thing for free.

    How much fuel did you use?

    I brought the car to a fab shop and had them bend all the tubing.
    I welded it in...

    I found a set of tires.
    245 rear and 225 fronts!!

    One of our dirt car cages was from an EGT. Its not as wide3 as the one that we had made for the ZX2, but everything welds or bolts up to where it needs to be. So the Proto/323 cage should fit.
    98 Black MTX (no options), Powder UDP, MMI intake, Kamikaze header, IAT resistor, Fidanza Flywheel, ZXtuner Strut Bar, 19mm RSB, Progress springs, SR (Ford Racing) Struts,LXQ1 out of a Cougar. 253k miles.
