every now and then only when my car is cold i start is up and it sounds like the belt squeeks. it only does it for a few seconds then stops. i just replaced the belt about 2,000 miles ago and i recently got my a/c fixed. thats the only things i have done recently. i just cant figure it out...should i just let it be for now?
Alternator would be my bet......try to pinpoint it (have someone start it while you listen maybe?) Doubt it is worth worrying about yet imo

might have a weak tensioner
01 T-red DD.
01 Black Turbo, never runs.
The most load is right after starting the engine. Do you have the AC turned on ?
As CT9A said, check the tension.
you prob have a lil oil seeped on one of your pullies. I used to have a really bad oil leaked that leaked on the belt, flung the oil in the alternator which fried it, and made the engine bay look like shit! lol
I experienced the sound of belt slippage a lot. And still every once in a while right at start up, it'll squeak for a second then go a way. if you trust yourself, remove the belt, get some purple power, spray all the pullies, let it sit, then wash off, preferebly w/ power washer.
well i think its my a/c compressor. i turned on my car and then turned on the a/c and it made noise, then i turned it off and the noise stopped...
I wouldn't pass up on the oily pulley/belt either. I'm currently experiencing the same symptoms as you and I only have 4 pulleys (no AC, PS, idlers). I really need to get around to cleaning them and clean up my alternator; I'm lucky mine hasn't fried.
