here's what it sounds like in the engine room...VERY quiet compared to the engine room of the ship i was on. the 16 cylinder Alco diesel locomotive engines that powered our ship were only 2500 hp, and maxxed out at 1000 RPM with an idle of 300 RPM. we had to increase 100 RPM at a time, and hold it there to let the oil pressure drop before going up another stage in the revs.

454 Big Block by far is #1. It's the motor that hooked me on cars, mainly V8s. Standing next to a Chevelle with the loop on the cam beating in my chest. No 2.0L zetec can do that.

x2 on the 454. I love the chevelle!!!! thats my dream car. Im mostly a muscle car guy., but since I have this car (budget) I dont mind working on it. I really like the Z anyways. The zetec has proven itself to me.

mine of course would be a zetec and a 350 small block. I was driving home the other night from a race pulling my car and trailer. And i heard a little bit of valve rattle(over a loud blown collector gask which is gettin fixed this weekend) and figured it was just the valves rattling because i was pulling a hill and the cheap gas. So i kept on going for about another hr and stopped to pull over for some good ol push water. and figured what the hell ill check the trans fluid and oil. The trans fluid checked fine but the oil wasnt even measuring on the stick. It took 3 1/2 quarts of oil to get it to the top of the fill line again LOL. I couldnt belieave It went that long on 1 1/2 quarts of oil pulling another car over mountain roads.
