    Yeah they were like a work of art. plus in a Taurus it was a great sleeper.

    old mustang 5.0 had great sound but never thought they built them with the power they should have had.

    Yea for you guys agreeing on the 5.0 mustang. 40 years on my stock block and still going strong.

    Times change back then it was respectable power. Now they are a laughing stock, but technology has gotten a lot better.

    Years mean nothing when talking about motor age. 40 years with 350K miles or 40 years with 85K miles.

    either way is impressive imo just cause if it does have a huge amount of miles, its great that its lasted that long, but, if it only has 85k, then you figure its still amazing cause that means most of the time its sitting so all the seals/gaskets dry out and crack and go to crap.

    The AMC 4.0 straight six that Jeep put in their vehicles for two decades was a good one. Good torque, and known to easily last 300,000+ miles under abuse.

    If changing the rear main didn't drive you nuts every 50k miles and you kept it long enough to see that many miles, yeah.
