    Default Anyone using the LED dome light replacements?

    Anyone using the LED dome light replacements?

    My dome light keeps burning out and I want to give this a shot. I don't feel like troubleshooting. Its real cold in New England right now and its a pita working in a dark 10 degree car.


    Anyone happy with switching to a LED dome light?

    Sounds good. And they won't wear out.
    But most interior dome lights last the life of the car. I wonder why yours is burning out.

    LED dome's work pretty good, I have switched most of my interior bulbs to LED's in most of the recent cars I have owned. Make sure you get hyperwhite, as the standard white LED's are a little too blue to actually put out a decent amount of light. Do you have a sunroof by chance? If so check for leaks, could be causing your premature bulb burnout

    Any recommendations on size needed or type.

    If I really cared about our customers I would have sent them somewhere better.

    I got the Superbrightleds.com 4210-xHP12 in cool white its a verry tight fit but works great. I guess they are polarised or what ever had to flip it around to work.

    directional is the word you wanted, xj bmx. I had to do the same thing with my LED dome light bulb in my car.

    Is this a ZX2 specific part or generic ? Do you have a part number on this?

    I checked at Autozone but they couldn't find it.

    Any other suggestions to get a dome light assembly that isn't used? Found some expensive ones.

    its a generic part. you can find them all over the place. the better ones are universal with a bayonet lamp adapter. also try to find one that is a gridlike panel about 12-24 LEDs.
