    yes, have to convert to cable shift... I think that is the only major down side to the entire build.

    Is all this from a Protege? or escape/tribute?

    If its the way I was thinking it would work. Its a hybrid. Escape trans and Protege rear. Never thought about the linkages being a problem until I saw the pics. Good luck! I have had the idea in my head for a couple years, but no money or parts to try.

    I'm pretty curious to say the least. AWD is like... the greatest invention... ever.

    Well.... for a car that is.

    it seems like it would be easier to go AWD by transplanting another Zetec w/ATX into the trunk/backseat area to drive the rear wheels. twice the power, twice the drive wheels.

    I was going to bug the fuck out on you if there was mention of a wrx drivetrain like every other idiot who wants to make it awd.

    You actually know the proper way though, so I'm impressed. Get this shit done!
