Usually when standing outside the car. The bass will sound better with the sound deadening in though. I don't really know for sure, I'm a car audio noob. I just don't want to sound like all the donks around Waco with their big subs in the trunk playing rap at high volume while they drive by you and all you hear is *ratttttle rattle buzz ratttttle*.

there's two vents on the side of the trunk behind the walls. kind of beneath the tail lights. they kind of look like this![]()
except they're white. I've found that to be the source of my rattling, however i don't want to seal it because they're suppose to help open the trunk without too much suction. it is possible to replace it with just a metal vent or maybe some mesh, but those vents are definatly the main source of rattle. it's on both sides of the trunk

I'll look at them and see what I can do with it.
it can be replaced or just cut out, but i don't see how that would cause the rattle. Mine are plastic and stay in position, there's no movement to them...and there's no metal...
Nothing!

Even cranking it up, my trunk doesn't really rattle much, but I'd rather be sure it won't rattle. Might just do one sheet thick of deadener in the trunk in some places and use some of it in the cabin to quiet stuff down inside if I have any left.
This week is my Spring Break. I have most of the week free, so I should be good to get some stuff done to the car.
^^It's my spring break too, so I also wanna get some stuff done. What else are you planning?
Lol cool.
Windows tinted. 35% front, 20% quarters and rear. 3M Color Stable tint. Pictures are kinda crappy with all the glare. I'll get some better pics tomorrow.
I wanted 35% all the way around because I didn't want it too dark. The guy at the tint place showed me a picture of a BMW with 35% all around and it was too light. The Color Stable tint reads darker than it is so 35% reads 27%. 25% is the legal limit for Texas on the front windows, so I couldn't do that any darker. He had a car in the shop they were doing with the shades I got. I decided that looked pretty good, so I went ahead with it.

You've been busy today, just like me lol. It looks good Nate. I've never been a fan of tint, but yours looks good.

Looks good man!!!
I didn't do much else today, just dropped it off to get tinted and picked it up later. Tint helps keep the car from getting so hot when sitting outside in the sun all day. It darkens the windows so prying eyes aren't as likely to see inside. I think tint makes the car look better as well. What's not to like?
Cost me $300 installed. People kept telling me to go to a cheaper place that uses cheaper tint. I've seen enough bad tint from cheap tint jobs that purple in only a couple years or start falling off. The best tint in the business with a lifetime warranty for only $300 is a bargain.
Thanks guys.
