Default How To : Custom 03 turns and griles.

OK so i was asked to do a write up on this, "How to make custom griles and turn signals." This can be moved to the "How to section" by mods.

Ok so lets start off this "mod" will really only work if you have an 03 front or you plan on cutting the 98-02 bumper to look like the 03.

Has you can see here the turn signals are well hidden but yet visible when turned on(shown in pic below).

    Materials you will need -
    TurnSignals
    98-02 turn signal housings
HID bulb covers (or something like this)
    Epoxy
    Drill
    Steel
    Griles
    Gutter guard
    Primer
    Color Paint (black,blue,white,ect..)
    Shears

    Griles
    Step 1 -

First off your going to need to get gutter guard, 4 - 6 you might mess up. (you can get it at a Home Depo or something like that)

    Step 2 -

Next spray the pieces of gutter guard with primer let it dry and then spray them with the color of your choice.

    Step 3 -

Test fit your new griles and cut off the ectra material you dont need. *Note leave about a 1/2 inch "lip"*
Then cut the four corners with the shears so when you bend the grile around the bumper it doesn't bend and distort, Also cut holes for the clips to hold on to.
Now with a hammer(body hammer if you have) bend the 1/2 lip around your bumper.

    Step 4 -

Now mix your epoxy and apply were you feel it's necessary.

    Turn Signals
    Step 1 -

Take your H.I.D. covers or what ever you may be using in its place and tape the bottem end of it off with tape has if you were using it for a glass to drink from,
then take you paint and spray it with 2 - 4 coats. Put those off to the side to dry.

    Step 2 -

Now pull you turn signal housings from you 98-02 bumper and drill out the socket and let a lip around the socket

    Step 3 -

Mix your epoxy and apply on the open end of the H.I.D. cover and the opposite side of the socket then attach together and let dry.

    Brackets

    Step 1 -

Get a piece of metal bend it around your new turn signal in a "U" shape.

    Step 2 -

Now keep the "U" shape in the metal bracket and bend the ends on the "U" so they face flat on the car so you can screw in the brackets to the car.
    *Pics* later for visual

Ok im pretty sure thats all you guys are going to need to know feel free to comment or PM me about any questions you may have.
