    Default Steering column question

So i want to change out the steering wheel on my zx2 and it seems no one makes an adapter kit to do it so i was wondering if there is a steering column that would fit that would have an easier to find adapter ?

There is an adaptor that fits the ZX2. It is sold at www.zxtuner.com. Check that site out to find many aftermarket parts for the ZX2.

I had to slightly modify the wires on the clock spring to keep my horn functionality. But its doable.

There are a few things I did to keep the horn working. Fist off is I cut all but the yellow cable from this connector. The other cables work the cruse control.

Then up on the clock spring, I cut off the housing that splits the cables.

Under that splitter is where the cables are soldered to the thin copper ribbon cable. If you cut carefully you will preserve a good deal of that copper ribbon that will press up against the coper band on the hub from zxTuner.

I pulled off the coper ring and added a bit of a rubber hose to armor the cable against making an accidental contact with the hub, which would set off the horn when turning the wheel.

Horn has worked great with my custom Grant Wheel for almost a year now. Please enjoy the worst possible photo of the install, taken from my stepdaughter's crappy phone (before I got her an iPhone 4).
