But how are they supposed to pay their $150,000 bills if there isn't a season? It's a little crazy, but at the same time I can KIND OF see. If the owners want more games, the players should be compensated, not just let the owners get teh extra money from the extra games.

Plus the retirees need medical...

I think more games is stupid IMO, 16 is plenty. You wouldnt think that the owners would want more games to risk injuring their players etc. But then again more games= more tickets sold I guess.

The disagreements has nothing to do with the amount of games.. I just hope we have a damn season! Oh and btw .. J! E! T! S! JETS JETS JETS!

there will still be the same amount of games instead of 4 pre and 16 regulation games it will be 2 pre and 18 reg games this is to give the fans a reason to watch games and teams a reason to play hard the entire season instead of slacking in the preseason

I am really happy with the Patriots schedule, now there is really no reason why they shouldnt make it to the super bowl. especially after getting embarassed in the first round the last two years in a row. only sad thing is that the Pats are looking to draft a quarterback, meaning life without Brady is coming and i dont even want to think about that

Another Pats fan? You do realize that EVERY team right now has the same chance at making the superbowl? Want a reason the Pat's wont make it? Cuz there are 15 other teams in their conference that can just as easily make it. It's not like the Pats have the easiest schedule. They play the Jets (who have a great defense and a QB with weapons and a little experience, and a decent backfield - better the the Pats...), the Chargers (have fun with that one SoCal...), Cowboys, Eagles, Chiefs, Giants Steelers, Colts...All those teams at any time can play better (or worse) then the Pats. Makes it hard to say that there is NO REASON they wont be in the Superbowl...

You are correct, it is not the amount of games, but when you look at the end of the season, do you say a team went 10-6 or do you add in their preseason (practice) games?

I don't think it's so much teams 'slacking' in the preseason, it's more so a time for you to test what you've obtained over the off season and see how the returners are. you are still making cuts during preseason, so it's more of 'in game workouts' then slacking...

I'd rather be underrated than overrated any day. Expectations being low, you do good, everyone goes 0.0. Expectations high, you do good and everyone's like... meh. They can do better.
