Thread: 2011 or 2012 Kansas City / Midwest meet.

    Default 2011 or 2012 Kansas City / Midwest meet.

    Is anyone interested in a Kansas city, or somewhere within the 200 mile radius of kansas city this fall or early next summer?

    I have atleast a dozen local friends that can attend, some with zx2's some without. I can also host 2-3 or more if room sharing happens. I only ask that you are considerate of my house and pets.

    Things to do in kansas city metro area that are car related:

    Heartland park (road racing and/or 1/4 track)
    KCIR (1/4 track)
    Car shows (always have tons of shows going on)
    There is also Fast fridays every other friday, lots of exotic and done up cars
    If the weather is nice, there is usaully alot of cars out on the weekend.
    Nascar
    auto-x on sat and sun mornings usaully once a month or more

    Non-car related:
    kc zoo
    worlds of fun
    Union station /science city
    crown center
    plaza area (nice outdoor shopping area)
    the legends (a done up shopping area around the kansas speedway)
    zona rosa (very nice modern outdoor shopping area)

    I'm sure there is alot more, I'll think of stuff later both car and non-car related.

    I would like to guage intrest first to see how many are interested and can attend, this way we can work with everyone's schedule. My zx2 is not really a over the road kinda car, so if we move the meet outside kansas city..we need to make sure my drive time is down to a min..as I do not want to trailer the car.

    10hrs on the dot to my house, you'll be in Kansas city around 7.5 to 8hr mark depends how fast I70 raceway moves

    Jon, I foresee a 2 car ZX2 convoy on I70 in the future........... Plus if the weather is bad, bonus! Kansas is FTMFW for stormchasing! Now all I need is mobile radar..........

    The meet will probably be April or June of 2012. Looks like thats going to work best with everyone that I have talked to. Plus I'll probably be at more boost by then
