    Wink another superchip question

I have just purchased a superchip with an MTA7....seems to run great.

My question is this...Anyone know if it is OK to pull the superchip out of the computer with the ignition off, and then restart without it in. Would this cause any damage or confusion with the computer or would it just read accordingly?

I know ideally if you are going to remove it you would want to disconnect the battery, let the computer reset and do it.

I might not have this option for what im using it for

you can disconnect it with the power off and the car will usually start and run as intended. The only thing you should really be concerned about this is static discharge affected one/both parts

if you are using it for racing, then your car will have a battery quick disconnect on it. This will make it a possible option if you are trying to pass tech inspection
