    Default Salina, KS 11/06/11

So here is my 2nd run of the day. Made a TONNNNNN of mistakes, but I am still new so it is just part of the learning process. I missed 2nd gear, went way slower than I could have, and for some reason that I didn't even realize until after watching the video, I let off the throttle about 30 feet from the finish line. This run clocked in at 57.132. My final run I ran a 53.556 and felt soooo much better. Unfortunately I didn't have my buddy ride with me to film it since I'm too poor to buy a fancy race camera until next season. Enjoy.

Absofriggenlutely!!! I always wanted to give it a shot. At first I was a little hesitant cause the thought of driving around a parking lot on a course made of cones didn't sound too thrilling. Boy was I wrong. I'm planning on building the car for FSP over the winter. Any tips on setup?

honestly, i'd stay in stock for a couple seasons. i started out in ST, and i think street tires are excellent for beginners. they amplify the mistakes you make where R compound tires mask them. if you realize your mistakes, you learn from them. If you can be fast on street tires, you are ready for R comps and modifications. you can do a cat-back exhaust, R compound tires on stock sized wheels, air filter, brake pads (i use EBC Yellow Stuff), and now you can beef up the rear swaybar....all in stock. if you have money to burn and want to get rid of all that body roll, step up to Street Touring where you can run street tires (much much cheaper, believe me). there you can do all the stock stuff, plus intake, header (as long as it keeps a cat in the stock location), springs, pulleys, chip.

my FSP build includes flywheel, clutch, limited slip diff, stainless brake lines, pads, tie bar, strut bar, urethane bushings, short shifter, pulleys, cat-less header, exhaust, intake (someday individual throttle bodies...i have them built already), racing seat, harnesses, rear sway bar, 15x7 wheels (maybe 15x10 next year), R compound tires, an planned to have some decent shocks to handle my 8k/6k springs.

I am currently running in ST04 with the mods I have. CAI, Exhaust, Underdrive Pulley's. My plan is to put on as much as I can do in ST04, then probably mid season step up to FSP. All depends on what's running in those categories since first half of year I'll be in KS, then mid summer moving back to CT.
