Default Goals For 2012 Race Season? Post Em

This Winter/Spring My ZX2 receives a JohnP Intake Manifold, 205/60R13 M&H Street/Strip Tires on 7lbs 13X8" Wheels, Edge Racing 3500 Stall Torque & a Re-Tune with a Wideband Installed hoping to set a solid low 15 second pass on motor this spring, Enough to put me #1 on the list...

I'm heading to 3-4 Events next year ranging from 1/8th mile to 1/4 mile. All events are bracket events.

    Post what your goals are!

Either we have a forum full of dyno queens, or bench racers or show cars... I'm surrised this went unanswered. I'm use to being on other car forums where this is a happening section lol.

What do you mean "all this"?

My car is a completely stock long block with Bolt-On's, Tune, 3500 Stall Torque, 23" Street Slicks... 2750lbs with driver, A/C, P/S, Full Interior.... and Automatic....

I'd be happy with a mid to low 15, who knows might run high 14's. Best run to date is 10.44 in the 1/8th(~16.3 in the 1/4) with just Intake,Header,Exhaust,UDP,Tune on street Tires pulling a poor 2.5x 60ft. The above mods I'm looking to get down to 2.1->2.2 60ft times. Its said in a fwd every tenth droped in the 60ft is 2-3 tenths of E.T.

That's okay, not the first time I get mistaken for a mtx car. Not many people mod an automatic as far as I am going.

I decided Nitrous are not in the plans this summer. I'll be happy taking the title away from Tygen on motor.

This year will serve as my baseline for next year. I will try to attend as many drag/autox events this year to get a good baseline of what the car can do with the turbo set up and work on my improving my skills.

My goal is to have the car finished in time to have a 2012 season. If I do that, and the port work I have done to the head is as good as I hope and it makes the power I expect it to make, my goal is to go after Focus Central's all-motor time. I have less cam but more compression, with a similar induction setup, and less weight.

Oh, and then to drop a second on spray.

They had a pretty retarded set-up back in the day, like wayyyyyy back in the day.... I wish you luck! I'm keeping tabs on your build.
