i may run a touring tire on these tho, they look nice, but are heavy as fuck. the 03's are much lighter and 15 inch tires are cheaper than low pro 17's
then id probably run re-11's, neo's, or 512's

expect the RE-11's to last from spring til fall then be dead. those were specifically made for the street touring class in autoX.
2000 S/R FSP build: APC shift knob, LED tails, zx2 sticker on the rear bumper, Silverstar headlights, blue spark plug wires, optima red top battery, Magnaflow muffler, and some lowering springs.

yes. it's a 140 treadwear tire. anything less would be an R compound race only tire. they were designed for street tire classes for SCCA autoX and time trials as well as the old LeMons rules before they went to 200 TW. expect 3000 miles out of them if you also autoX on them...or 5-7000 miles out of them from just street driving.

they grip like crazy, though. you will be hard pressed to find another street tire that you can throw into a corner harder. the RS3's are almost as good, and way cheaper.

i have a thread about it in the autox section...something about budget autox build. i use R compound tires, too. 30 treadwear...you can gouge divots in the rubber with your fingernails.
