    Thumbs up Fidanza Flywheel

I just got my z back today with a rebuilt trans and a fiddy flywheel. let me say initial start-up was great. The car started easier and take off was soooo much easier than i expected, driving the car on the highway my rpms @ 65 were 3200RPM with the stock flywheel, and with the fiddy, barley over 3k, my acceleration is so much smother as well, i haven't gotten on it too much yet because my clutch is new also...couldn't be happier and i highly recommend this upgrade to anybody who drives a Z

Seconded. I have put over 200k on my Flywheel. It will soon be transplanted into the new ZX2. It took me a while to get use to the revs staying up with the stock flywheel vs the instant fall off to shift in the 98 with the Fiddy.

So what you guys are saying is to get a fiddy? Lol. I just did a timing belt and head gasket. I'm sure the clutch is going to go soon now that I got all my power back. They still sell these things new or do I have to get a second hander?

i dont know where your getting the lower revs from. maybe the rebuilt trans had a taller 5th gear? the flywheel has nothing to do with gear ratios.

i love my fiddy. rev matching on downshifts is just a blip of the throttle now.

The fiddy was the most expensive part I have put in my ZX2's. It was well worth it as I could easily tell the difference in how freed up the revs were. I do recomend an entire clutch kit change while you are in there, or you may have been like me 10k miles later replacing the pilot bearing.

I think you're right. I had the same question when I first read the post.

i love my fidanza flywheel. it's the third greatest thing i've done to my car...MFactory and R compound tires being one and two. it seems to allow the car to pull harder all the way through 4th gear, too.
