Normally they are $1,500 but I caught a sale they were having 20% off on the entire site. So $1,200 plus shipping. You can see the difference between stock teeth and beef teeth. The only thing missing from my bulletproof trans is the updated shift fork, but as long as I make clean shifts I don't have to worry about it.

Of course, I'll always have a ZX2 around. Overall best fwd vehicle made, in fact all Escorts make the cut. Fiesta's are just behind it, losing brownie points because of weight. And Focus's after that, just too heavy sadly. Weight is the most important factor in a drivers car, because engines and suspensions can always be modified to perform better, weight not so easily and driving in a tin can without interior doesn't shave that much off.

I agree, one of my favorite cars to drive. Then again my wife thinks I am nuts.

Its nice to see a few people who have kept their ZX2. I don't mind driving mine but the 17" Wheels and 40 series rubber on horrible roads here are wearing thin. Might need to go back to a 15" wheel combination.

I think the difference between me and everyone else here is that I drive my ZX2 just a few times a year, it sits mainly in my garage with small things being upgraded here and there just out of boredom.

Much needed update here, so since the winter blast is over with, I got back to getting my trans out and sent it out to a specialty shop that I deal with at work fix the grinding at high rpm and 5th gear popping out, as well as putting in my MFactory gears in. I got it back in a couple days and looking at my clutch, looks like a basic yellow centerforce setup. Was wanting to do something like Clutchmasters 725 Series Twin Disc, or some are raving about South Bend clutches. I also saw Spec Stage 3+ had good reviews. Not sure what I want to do here, I really don't want to put the trans in as is just to take it out again because the current clutch slips after it's turbo'd. But progress is being made, after I put this trans in the turbo is going in along with it, no excuses this time.
