First let me say sorry if I'm not in the right place to post this I have seen posts about this but no body has a guid on a a/c delete so dose any body have a step by step or guid on how to do it p.s.i live in Alaska no short supply on cold air
O yea I own a 99 zx2
are you looking to do it correctly or hack job style? Dareall is right, if doing it correctly, you will need the pulley he shows, you will also need someone to pump down the system so as to not leak refrigerant into the atmosphere and you will want to get plugs for the evaporator lines at the firewall so that you can reinstall at a later date if you decide you want it or want to sell the car.

Have you repped someone helpful today?
If you are deleting the p/s as well, you can use a shorter belt. If you plan to keep the p/s, use the delete pulley.

shipping the pulley in a usps flat rate box shows the same rate to Alaska
Also, you can leave the compressor alone and remove the other stuff related to AC.
There is no magic in an aftermarket replacement pulley vs. the AC pulley.
You will lose time and money to change it out. Pulley, new belt, labor =$. And for what? a few lbs?
#1
Also, the pulley that dareall pictures is not an aftermarket pulley.
It is the factory pulley for cars without AC.
You will lose weight and clutter and not need a different belt because it uses the same belt with the pulley dareall pictured
the pulley pictured is probably 3-4 lbs....better than the 20 or so that compressor weighs. all the junk under the hood weighed in at 38.6 lbs when i took mine out. and the condensor and evaporator don't weigh much. most of that weight was int he compressor.
the above ford factory pulley is obsolete now. not sure where else it can be found, zxtuner.com has discontinued their pulley also i guess.
dareall is going to sell that pulley once he gets it back
