wrong dipstick and cut airbox FTL. IIRC that once belonged to someone here
I wouldn't doubt it. Doubt they will let me tear the dash apart to check the ECU, because that is the important part. I think I will go for it anyway. Hopefully it was someone's here and they have pulleys and an 21 RSB on it. Honestly, I have never thought the wingless ZX2s looked all that bad. I know I always cursed it when I would try and wash the car.

lift the cup holder out and slide it forward a little, you should be able to see it then
Take it for a solo test drive with a phillips screwdriver in your pocket
Ha. I am going to go take a look at it soon. It's a 2 hour drive from here but I think it will be worth it for this rarity.

Just tried it. Feels pretty solid. Has a short shift on it for sure (which was a drastic difference for me since I've gotten used to shifting the LX.) Getting paperwork ready for it now.

Time for a new worklog
Just finished the 200 mile drive home in it. Drives great! I do need to adjust the e-brake (handle goes all the way up. Not a fan.) Will check ECU code tomorrow since I couldn't find it in the door jam flee some reason. Looks like paint was redone recently or taken care of REALLY well.
I did get a bit worried when I went to go fill it up when the gas cap would not come off very easily. After filling, or wouldn't go back on (the one thing I didn't check because I have never had one go bad so I didn't think anything of checking .) Made a quick detour top a local Car Quest and got a new cap for it. All is well.
I think I may keep the tape player in it for a little bit so I can reacquaint myself with some of my cassettes.

One last off topic post, then I will resume the work log. Turns out the Mrs isn't too happy I replaced the non van automatic vehicle with a manual (and another ZX2 none the less, what with all the trading in I do with them.) Looks like it's a camp out in the living room with call of duty and vodka night. :banghead:
Anyways, I found where the brake fluid was leaking. Changed the rear right wheel cylinder and it has seemed to hold so far. Brakes felt a LOT firmer after too (like more than before it was leaking.) Going to take the plays off it for now and drop the insurance top save some money. Will pursue finding and fixing the coolant and oil leaks and save the car top teach at least one (or two) of the kids how to drive stick.

Used the LX tonight in place of the S/R to make a trip out to get the kids. Brakes felt fine and the fluid didn't drop so I think the brakes are good. I know the gasket in the thermostat housing needs replacing but I seemed to lack the specific extensions needed to get the socket in the right places. I did manage to snap the head off on of the bolts on it though. I am almost certain the radiator has a slow leak in it as well.

Have been using the lx from time to time just to keep out from sitting. Realized that I don't really want to get rid of it. Is like to take it off the road, fix the leaks, and hold on to it to teach the kids to drive stock someday. It's a smooth running car that shifts great and drives good. I know the Mrs really wants it gone though, especially since I traded our only automatic car in for another standard.
