Best "plug-n-play" headlight bulbs?

Not interested in conversion kits, ballasts etc..

Wondering what people think are the best type of bulbs to swap out the oem's for.. Would like something different..

I did a search and didn't find much, to my surprise.

I know I'm a few days late, but if you want the best headlight bulbs, Phillips Xtreme Power are the best you can get. I have tested over 10 different model bulbs and they are the best by far. The Phillips Xtreme Power bulbs have 1780 lumens, and 340 hours of life. Sylvania Silverstar Ultra, the most commonly claimed brightest lamp, has 1380 lumens, 250 hours. And don't get any bulbs with blue filters or coatings on them, if you want a good performing bulb. They are scams. Finding the Phillips bulbs decent, haven't had a lot of night time driving to get a real feel for them - but definitely have brought the nighttime vision to the level I'd expect.

Not qualified to evaluate against the other bulbs in the thread..
