Yeah, I went 16.8 with exhaust,header,udp,iceman/no air filter and a bad tune but that was in 70 degree weather. 2.6 60 ft
I ran a mid 16 now in 32 degree weather with issues with timing, and a/f ratio with the mods I have now. 2.5 60 ft
I ran a low 16 last year with less mods, but something I added this past year threw off alot of things and I've been fighting detonation. 2.5 60ft

There is low 17's in 70 degree weather in that car, with some tuning you can run 16's I'm sure. Just need a good tune.

Back in the day when i had Header,Exhaust, udp I went from 17.3 to 16.8 with just an SCT Tune, and that tune wasn't correct for my car.

Hope that gives you an idea.

My stock ZX2 MTX ran 16.2@83MPH. Muffler Delete, Spec Stage 1 clutch, motor mount inserts... pretty much stock, 2.3 60ft.

With the High Stall converter I have now I should be down to the 2.3 60 ft range, I'll find out this friday. I still don't have enough power down low to nail a great 60ft. And that's with the intake gear advanced 4 degrees.

I'm gonna probably do some tuning. I'm gonna get an air flow coming from the bumper and try filter less next time

Tunning is the biggest thing, get your shift points bumped up to 6500rpm in gears 1-3. Lean it out to 13:1, dyno tune would be even better. There are some VCT tweaks also, adjustable intake cam gear helps also. I've gained a tenth of a second in the 1/8th on the strip with just cam timing. I used a moderate amount of advance to give more bottom end on the auto. I've learned that a WAI actually caused me some detonation issues so anytime you can relocate the filter to a cooler location do that. Also if you have an aftermarket intake relocating the maf to the middle of the piping is a smart idea, leave it about 6-8" of straight piping before a bend in front of the maf. I had A/F issues with a filter installed at the end of the maf with an aftermarket maf adapter. Here is my thread on what I did and so far much improved results, with the stock maf adapter you may not experience these issues.

I've had alot of set-ups with this car over the years so I learned what worked. Ram-Air intake would work but you would need to seal the intake off from any vaume lines or leaks, you would need a bellmouth velocity stack mounted at the front grill, and everything slealed up tight so It would created a pressurized air stream being forced into the TB. I learned alot from JohnP on ram air intakes.

It was 23 degrees out when I ran yesterday and nailed down 4 runs of 16.3@82mph. I might go up to Cayuga to try that track out, I heard its sticky as hell.
