    I shifted to 4th just under the overpass and then rode 4th out to 8000 rpm (~134-135mph). My 3rd gear tops out around 108mph at the limiter, and my 1/8th mile trap was 103.50 so I shift just past the 1/8th mile into 4th.

    Pretty much this ^. Your turbo Escort is a great comparison to all the idiots with D series Hondas buying ebay turbo kits, running 14's thinking they are the shit, when in reality they have a slow ass piece of shit that just sounds and looks stupid going down the track.....

    Not to mention my family wagon runs the 1/4 faster than your "turbo escort" and my Civic traps 103-104mph in the 1/8th mile... you trapped 106 in the 1/4? Lolz... A lot of shit talk from a guy who's never built or ever run a fast car about what's "easy" and what's not easy. Go out and build a car capable of 135mph traps on a soft tune and then come back and tell me how "easy" it was.

    For anyone curious -- the Honda will go 10's @ 140mph+ with a more aggressive tune and bigger slicks. The track just won't let me keep running without a cage, and I won't do that to what is a clean car inside, outside and under the hood. The interior is 100% OEM, down to the factory navi, has full A/C, power steering, etc.

    LOL, then I should of been able to keep running with just a helmet, amirite?

    At the track -- M&H 24.5/8.5 slicks. 245/40/17 Dunlop star specs on the street. I tune, duhr. Motor is about 10.5:1 c/r.

    Easily, I wasn't even maxed out on boost yet -- I ran the following boost levels:

    1st - 6psi
    2nd - 12psi (wheel spin)
    3rd - 16psi (spin a tad)
    4th - 23psi

    Question Mizz, so what "Real" car did you ever build up and what did it run?

    Nice run Vit, I like the MPH but not a fan of the E.T but that 60ft is killing ya, I bet that bitch spun good on launch, I can't watch the vids I'm at work I will after work. Should be running 11's with that trap speed.

    At the IHRA tracks I run at they enforce a snell 2005 or higher helmet & Driveshaft loop if running slicks. @ 13.99->11.50
    11.49->10.00 Requires the same as IHRA plus they require an approved sfi Jacket, and certified roll cage. They can also get sticky with an sfi approved flywheel, and a few other tidbits.
    9.99 and below requires a IHRA license and more shit then i'd be willing to fork out.
