    Default Schwinnman's 98 ZX2

Finally got pics of my 98... I got it a year ago with 68k on it (now 81k). I've done a few things since I got it, and only have a few more left.

    So far...

    Disc brake conversion
    S/R Borla muffler
Aluminum wheels (only 14" right now)
    S/R cluster
    Ford Racing wires
    power mirrors
pass door converted to power locks (only had driver's RKE)
    fog lights
    Knock sensor mod
    tinted windows

    planned changes

    Chip or pcm reprogram
    21mm rear sway bar
    15" S/R wheels
    Intake (Iceman I hope)
    power windows
    Sport seats

That's a clean z. Keep up the good work and nice find on the low mileage. That's starting to get harder and harder to find now days.

99 s/r wheels or 2003 wheels will look badass on this color. The borla tip looks good, nice and clean

    Thanks everyone!!

dareall, I have 2 S/R style wheels (from a 98 Tracer), just looking for 2 more.. The plan is to make an atx S/R (I know should be an mtx, but I have bad knees). I joked about having door stickers made that say S/RA since Ford did that with the GT and GTA Mustangs.
I got lucky when I found the Borla, it was on a 2002 ZX2 and I almost missed it. I just recently got another, but the tip is flat on the bottom from being scraped (came off a 2000 S/R that was in a pull and save. I got an ecm, shifter, boot, cluster and the Borla ) from that car. Someone beat me to the struts and shift knob...

    Bigtime,
The state of CO laws are 27%, most shops here will do 25% without signing a waiver. Mine are 25%.

I know that a few people will disagree, but I was glad that this did not have a spoiler. I never did like the spoiler that Ford put on these (this is the only 1 I've owned with out one. My 99 that was the same color as this had a dealer installed spoiler).

    Looks good so far.

Taking the car to a shop and getting it tuned will go a long way to getting the car to perform like the S/R even if it is an ATX. I got my ATX pulling 117WHP and 117 FtLbs of torque by tuning the car myself (typical ATX is 89WHP factory) The engine is only rated at 130 HP at the crank from the factory. If you want to look at the tuning I did it's under the performance electronics section. My gas mileage is averaging about 30MPG city, and I'm getting up to 53 MPG highway. My Drive train mods are: Coil on Plug, ZXTuner.com "Roush" instake, 61mm bored factory throttle body, intake manifold ported to match throttle body, PCV Catchcan, Trubendz Headeer-back 2.25" exhaust (Random technologies Cat, Magnaflow resonator, and AeroTurbine Muffler), Powder Under Drive Pulley, Additional Trans Cooler, and Level10 Transmission.

I always liked the light denim blue, very rare color . Thought about a tu-tone with dark denim blue.

Haha, a few weeks ago, maybe a month, we were at all the same wrecking yards. I figured that was your Z since it had a borla, but now I know for sure! Anyway, I have an iceman, 21mm rsb, s/r seats, and s/r pcm all available if you want.

Thats weird,, the backing on my 98 sport seats are like a blueish cardboard material, 00' s/r seats that I got have actual foam backing, day and night difference.

I installed the S/R struts I got about a month ago. Seems like the ride has gotten a bit rougher, or it just could be that I need to get new struts... I decided to try them and see if I would have issues getting in and out of my driveway without scraping the Borla.

When I swapped mine, I thought the same thing, you get used to it pretty quick and it handles way better than stockers.
