    Default Pathwayus69 White 98 zx2 project.

Well clean a work area up for car to get out of the cold wet weather to pull the car into and start work on it here some pictures of how the car looks. Didn't want to post them mainly because the engine bay look like shit, but it will help show the work that is done. Was going to do a SVTF swap but din't have any luck finding a svt motor. I have found a replacement motor for the car. Main reason am for the swap is the rear main seal has been replaced twice it last for a few 100 miles then start leaking again. The plan is to pull the motor and transmission out rear paint the engine bay check under the car for any rust if there is any fix it, bleed the brakes clean the head lights back up make a short throw shiftier. There a lot more got to make a list so that i don't for get. IMG_20160201_152443622_HDR.jpgIMG_20160201_152452031_HDR.jpgIMG_20160201_152535277.jpgIMG_20160201_153148007.jpg

Well today had a few hours so I pulled a few parts out of the engine bay and finely replaced the wiper arm that broke in the fall of 2014 right before i stop drive the car in December other then one or two trip out in the winter of 2015 to get parts. In doing so I found a rats nest and some tools that where drop down there...... So lesson learned to leave tools] there. Its always fun cleaning a rats nest out. Tomorrow the plan is to drain all the fluids out, and get the motor and transmission ready to pull out.

Well haven't got a lot done to the car in the past few days been busy. Other then borrowing a cherry picker to get the motor and transmission out. Placing the car on jack stands, and pulling the axle blots out. Am looking at getting new motor mounts and strut mounts there not looking the best in the world and have 191,000 on them. I've also got a set of coil on plug I want to check and see how well they will fit before pulling the motor out this weekend.

Got the motor and transmission pulled out today. Found the oil leak it and was coming for the rear main seal again..... Needless to say am not putting another seal in it for it to start leaking within a few miles, there oil entering by the spark plugs also. I did a test fitment of the coil that i pick up but they sit to high on it so there no good for this project.

I've started looking at coil over I want to give the car a 1" to 1 1/2", anyone that has used them what are he pro's and con's of them?

Was another busy day on the zx2, retread a bolt hole and stud for the sub frame. Pulled the stuck rotor off and replaced the clutch line form the master to the slave. Pulled the cruise control I installed that some time worked and some times didn't. Cleaned the engine bay up a bit still more cleaning that needs to happen and repainted part of it. Next go around need to check the rear drum brakes there some noise coming form the right back.

I've heard of them going to take a look at them after I finish this post up. Looking forward to getting the car back on the road haven't drove it in over a year. Pick up some fluids for the oil change and antifreeze, power Steering ect ect.. also plan on bleed the brakes all the way around. Was going to paint the brake caliper red but was not happy with how that turn out so yea repainted them black. Tomorrow if all goes well, ill be going after the motor transmission iceman intake and a few other parts.
