    Default my new 03

Sup guys, so long story short I used to have a 96 escort lx. Got a better job and moved on from that to a gmc sierra. Well then I saved up money and lifted my truck, in the process I killed my gas mileage. So I set out looking for a car to daily. I knew I wanted to go back to an escort and have always liked the zx2's. So I found on on CL for $800, went and looked at it, picked it up for $650.

The car is in good shape actually, interior is super clean and has power all the things. Rear defrost, blah, blah. These are the only 2 pics I currently have:

I bought it with a broke timing belt and bad power steering pump. Turns out, the serp belt shredded and got wrapped up in the lower timing pulley. The power steering pump would have probably been on but the belt got all wrapped behind the pulley and damaged the front seal. elt kit and PS pump later the car runs great.

    Looking good and excellent price!

Is it a manual or an automatic?

It's a manual. That was actually one of my requirements for a car. I missed my manual!

I know in the LX models power windows and such are pretty rare, how rare is it to find all the power options in a zx2?

LX was the highline designation in 97 on the sedan, and the only designation on the wagon. in 98 LX was the base model, and SE was the highline.

as for power options in ZX2 I would say probably 50/50.

yeah, power options were available in 2 of the 3 version of zx2 so many of them had those options. Yours has fog lights which means it is a premium version which means the only options you may or may not have for a premium version are: leather seats, abs, sunroof and polished wheels

Thanks guys. Now i'm in the research phase figuring out what exactly I want to do to it. I bought it with the intention of just driving it, but that was short lived.

Got the windows tinted, fixed the a/c as well. I know a/c isnt real popular but in FL it's a must for me. Gave it a fresh washing today.
