Exclamation Replaced my timing belt on my 98 zx2 runs rough sometimes

I just replaced my timing belt and my car runs rough and the idle surges sometimes. I can drive the car some days and it runs okay then after driving around for say 10 minutes it wants to die on me at every stop sign or if I put it in neutral. It has been getting bad gas mileage as well. I don't know if I got the timing off a bit or if there is a new problem. I cleaned maf and checked all spark plugs and the coil pack. Any help would be appreciated.

Double check your timing. That would be the easiest thing. It could be messing with the vct if it is off.

Thanks. I will check it on Monday when I'm off. I have a feeling it is off timing but barely.

Sounds vac related. Do you have the check engine light on?

Mines doing about the same thing. Rough idle and almost feels like a slight miss while cruising. Have changed the coil and wires and has new plugs. No CEL though.

Check PCV elbow, line, and valve.
