    Need help with figuring out what this wire is. I have a crack in mine.

    That is the throttle cable.... They do get cracked with age..

    Ok thank you. Is it worth putting a new cable or just cover it up? and I can't find a DIY, is there one?

    it's just the plastic coating cracking, if the throttle is not sticking, it won't hurt a thing.
