    Default CCRM testing questions

I'm new here. My daughter just acquired a 1998 ZX2 Sport with only 59K miles. The A/C does not work. I found the small relay in the module was melted. When I provide voltage to pin 23 the A/C clutch works and I get cold air.

My questions regard testing pins 21 & 22. Should pins 22 & 21 have 12V when I turn on the A/C? Can I test pin 22 at the plug with the plug disconnected from the module and the car running? Or will that create other problems? Am I correct that voltage to pin 22 switches the relay, proving continuity from pin 21 to pin 23? And pin 24 provides the ground for pin 22?

    Thanks in advance!

You may be able to find a pinout diagram on alldata

Alldata has the zx2 info for free, as an example of what their paid service offers.

Looks like this covers the AC relay circuit

Thanks for the reply. I didn't think to check Alldata.

Have you fixed this yet? I just replaced the A/C relay in my CCRM, it's a pretty simple fix. If you want to replace yours, I can send one out to ya for a few bucks

1 running Ford out of 5 isn't bad, right?
