Default Need some performance engine/trans assistance - Road Racing

We run a 1999 Ford Escort in a road racing series (don't ask why, it would take to long to explain =)...), here is what we have come up with a need for. Any chance there are any resources still out there?

    1. Engine rebuilder - looking for someone who has experience building race engines for reliability with increased performance
    2. ECM Programming - will likely need someone who can tune the care once the engine rebuild is done.
    3. Transmission - looking for rebuilder who can upgrade with LSD and more reliable internals.

The car is incredibly capable on track with the chassis properly tuned, we are just finding that the motor and trans have run their course and need some love. Rather get it done right.

    Thanks in advance!

Just to clarify, what engine, trans, and ecu are you working with? I'm going to assume you're running a ZX2 since you're on this forum. But, who knows, maybe a sedan is getting some track time love.

What part of the country are you in?

How far are you willing to drive for the services you seek? (Because shipping big heavy stuff gets expensive)

Any particular rules you need to follow regarding engine upgrades?

1 running Ford out of 5 isn't bad, right?

Send your trans to ZX2.0 to do the plate mod, install '03 style shift forks and install a Mazdaspeed protege LSD. That should give you plenty of headroom for whatever power you're going to throw at it and addresses some of the shortcomings of the trans that will increase the reliability.

Most of the race engine builders that have experience building this platform are in the UK as far as I know.
