    Default Engine Oil Pan Gasket

I have my oil pan off as it is rusted thru, ready to put another one up. Looking on some of the auto parts web sites, I do not see a gasket image that looks like it will work with the 19 hole oil pan. I referred to the 2001 work shop manual, and they say use a 33 mm bead of silicon. Do they make a gasket for this pan?

No gasket for oil pan to windage tray sealing. Use some good RTV silicone and for best results let it it dry fully before filling up with oil and running the engine.

Anaerobic permatex red stuff works great as well. No need to wait long to get her started.

Ive had better results with high temp red RTV on engines and letting it setup properly first, or even regular black RTV. We used to use that anaerobic when rebuilding transmissions and I never did like it. To each their own i suppose
