has anyone ever had someone put the car in gear and push down the brakes inorder to immobilize the pulley to loosen the bolt/tighten the bolt. I did that on another car and it worked. Would it work with our cars?

If you don't have an impact wrench, get a breaker bar. Wedge it against the control arms or whatever they are called (to the rear of the car). The engine spins the crank clockwise, so it needs to be seated on the bottom of that bar. Crank the engine for 1/500th of a second. Turn the key, and then take it back out. It really doesn't take long, and you wouldn't want your car to start like that.

Makes it pretty easy. I've done it a total of three times.

No need to reset the computer or anything. Since it is basically a weight on the engine, airflow and everything else doesn't change, so the computer doesn't need to be reset.

    1/500th of a second, huh?

What kind of stopwatch do you have?

Found this while searching. Bought a UDP from Powder earlier this year and didn't have time to install it.
Will use this 'How To' as a guide when I do in a week or two.

I just put this on. it fits and everything uns well. But when it came time to put it back on, I didn't have an impat gun. I did have my buddy stomp on the breaks and I would turn it. It did it a little, but then i went and got a hammer and with him still stomping the breaks, would hit the bar to tighten it. I fugred it would help it to snug up till I could get to a shop to tighten it. Should I be very worried?
