It's a knowledge base thread, age is irrelevant.

By white, are you talking about the numbers being white when the lights are off? There's not much you can do about that short of making your own gauge faces.

I reread this again. Almost sounds like you think the tinting goes on the front of the gauge face or something... The stock green tinting is on the back of the gauge faces. You scrape that off, it just takes off the green. The white numbers/lines and such still stay white, it's part of the actual gauge face plastic. You can keep it that way and put in LEDs or you can repaint the back of the gauge face whatever colors you want. The front will remain stock looking during the day when the lights are off. If you tint it, the color that will come out of the white areas on the gauge faces is the color tinting you put on the back. Don't paint white on top of it or the light won't shine through very well.

No, I know that it goes on the back, I also noticed that there is a white paint behind each lettering which I was confused on. But that's all been cleared up now thanks for the help

Would nail polish remover and some q-tips work to remove the green tint?

Figured it might work. That stuff usually good I'm guessing it ate the whole paint off the cluster. I just purchased corbins red zx2. Ordered the leds now just waiting to get them to start the cluster.
