I'll be taking off tomorrow morning,Sun., to make the long trip to Summit Point WV. for a track day on Monday, Columbus day. We will be running on the Shenandoah Circuit which is supposed to be very interesting. I like going to new tracks and having to learn the fastest way around.
What a crazy track. Elevation changes, very tight turns and fast turns, even a carousel with 20* banking.
Unfortunately, on my last practice run before the time trials I developed a transmission leak. Oil going on the exhaust and causing lots of smoke. It appears that it came from the VSS area. I still have all the gears and no noises. I haven't had a chance to check it out more throughly.
poop!
Yep, first mechanical failure in 8 yrs. I can't complain, it gets run hard at the track.
How many sessions did you run?

The club runs the first 20 min. session by groups. Then it is open track. I was into my fourth run after the initial 20 min. which I used to learn the track. I probably would have done one more.
Sounds like you got a fair amount of track time.
How many cars were on track during the open sessions?
KT
It would vary. Occasionally there would be a clump of cars but it usually sorted out so that I was free to run my own pace. The officials keep it from getting crowded.
